Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained, safe, and functional for all users. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and customer service, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC repairs.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance requests and scheduling.
- Fabricate parts and components as needed to ensure efficient operation of equipment.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to understand system layouts and repair needs.
- Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain the aesthetic quality of facilities.
- Supervise maintenance staff when necessary, providing guidance and support.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or client concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Familiarity with using an Ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for various systems.
- Experience in supervising teams is a plus.
- Proficient in residential painting techniques and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
