What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor position at Holiday Inn Express and Suites?
This is a 10 hour shift, 9pm to 7am three days a week, for a total of 30hours.
Our hotel is seeking a Night Auditor to join our team immediately. We're looking for an ambitious, hardworking professional who loves to crunch numbers in between responding to guests' needs. The Auditor will be responsible for to learn OPERA PMS. The ideal applicant should be capable of working autonomously with no one to assist him or her with basic functions, such as checking guests in and out, reconciling accounts, communicating with housekeeping and taking initiative for necessary tasks. A flexible schedule and a willingness to work overtime when necessary are preferred.
General Responsibilities Include but does not represent a complete list of duties:
- Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and provide them with any information they need to enjoy their stay
- Audit and balance reports from the day shifts
- Schedule guest wake-up calls and reservations for the following day
- Respond to guest inquiries, concerns and complaints as needed
- Answer phones and make/cancel/verify reservations
- Run Opera computer functions so they are complete by the end of the shift
- Prepare guest bills for next-day checkouts and process reservation cards
- Balance cash drawers and record receipts
Preferred Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 2 years' experience in customer service or hospitality
- Excellent communication and math skills
- Ability to learn computer functions and other on-the-job skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Opera PMS
