As a Laundry Attendant, you are a crucial piece of the puzzle in Holiday Inn Express and Suites that helps provide the ultimate experience for our guests. This job is part time ranging from 15-25 hours per week. The scheduling for this position is typically 8am-2pm / 12pm-6pm and may change slightly based on Hotel needs. This position requires flexibility and weekends, including some Holidays.
We are looking for someone who is upbeat, friendly, and can’t wait to show our Guests what it means to IMPRESS them! As a Laundry Attendant, you’ll be working in our Housekeeping Department and working primarily on stocking, washing, drying and folding in the hotel laundry room. You will also be required to keep our laundry room clean and organized so it’s easily accessible for the Housekeepers and front of house staff. You’ll also be helping out and communicating with other departments, such as Front Desk or Maintenance if they need something from you. Preferred candidates will be positive, proactive, and be skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:
- Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material
- Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols
- Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment
- Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener
- Anticipating and addressing guests' needs, and resolving their problems and complaints.
- Assisting guests with special requests for miscellaneous items like extra bedding, new sheets, extra towels, etc.
- Collaborating and corresponding with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Performs additional duties as needed.
Abilities:
- Flexibility in job and ability to provide coverage for the Hotel. This includes working different shifts on different days.
- Must be able to lift ~20lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time and be actively moving around, including bending, standing, stooping and reaching - This is a fast paced and physical job.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow all Holiday Inn Express Housekeeping and Guest Service standard operating procedures and understand the team member handbook.
- Express facts, ideas, and messages to others in a clear, concise, and organized manner that is easily understood.
- Anticipate the needs of guests; display an open, friendly, courteous, and approachable demeanor to guests; proactively engage guests to provide quality service; maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward guest service.
