Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Safety & Cleanliness
Know and be able to execute Emergency Procedures.
Practice safety standards at all times and keep the property safe for guests and fellow employees.
Report any injuries or unsafe conditions to management.
Report defective equipment to management immediately.
Respond to all radio calls in a timely manner.
Monitor and control supplies and amenities, to help minimize wastes within all areas of housekeeping.
Be aware of cleaning chemicals and how to respond to unexpected exposure of the product to eyes or open body surfaces.
Clean and Service assigned rooms or areas in allocated time frame meeting required MPOR
Making beds
Dusting
Vacuuming
Clean and sanitizing bathrooms
Removing trash and dirty linens
Kitchen Area (refrigerator, coffeemaker, ect.)

Restocking room items (towel, linen, cups, toiletries, ect.)
Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be inspected.
Hotel Operations
Deliver on Exceptional Guest Service
Greet every guest with a smile at 10 feet and a verbal greeting at 5 feet.
Know and live the mission and values of the hotel brand and company.
Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude at all times.
Apply appropriate problem handling method(s) to quickly and efficiently resolve any guest issues.
Communicate with co-workers in all departments to meet needs of guests
Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.
Handle guest lost and found with fast response, notify the front desk immediately to assure fast
communication to the guests.
Effectively operate and maintain the hotel equipment related to daily tasks
Vacuums
Carpet cleaners
Telephones
Televisions
Be a Team Player
Work as part of the team and communicate with other departments as per hotel
procedures to ensure excellent quality and service.
Assist with deep cleaning projects.
Wash, dry, fold and bundle hotel linens and towels during down times and/or as needed.
Complete shift work checklist as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Public, business atmosphere, located within building in which temperatures may vary within reason of
indoor climates. Lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. may occur and with pushing up to 50 lbs. Must be able
to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach over your head and bend to the floor. Must
be able to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping/
uneven surfaces without scraping or damaging walls. Must be able to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects
of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Acknowledgement of Receipt and Basic Understanding
The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
All employees must realize this fact and
be aware that at all times it may be
necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift and alter
assigned duties as business dictates.
