What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping position at Holiday Inn Express - Santa Cruz?
Major responsibilities include:
· Clean rooms to the Executive Housekeeper’s specifications.
· Prepare rooms for cleaning or turndown.
· Deep clean rooms when needed.
· Dust windowsills, lamps, headboards, baseboards, and other furniture.
· Clean finger marks on reachable areas of doors and walls.
· Straighten up bed and turn down in three fold style, place sham in closet, replace pillows, and place turndown amenities in proper place.
· Turn on lamps upon entry of rooms. Turn all lamps and lights off when you exit the rooms.
· Replenish bathroom and bedroom supplies.
· Wash and clean all garbage cans on a daily basis.
· Clean bathroom.
· Check and secure room.
· Inform the Executive Housekeeper of any room damage, damaged or stolen items, or special cleaning needed for guest rooms.
· Inform the Executive Housekeeper of all do not disturb signs in exchange for another room or special project assignment.
· Bring all lost and found items left in guest rooms to the Executive Housekeeper’s office every day.
· Check cart for necessary supplies and restock each cart and closet with linens and towels at the end of each shift.
· Fold laundry bags and clean up housekeeping area.
· Actively participate in achieving a safe work environment.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
· Able to communicate with guests.
· Available to work on weekend and holidays
Physical Requirements:
· Simple grasping of objects of less than 5 pounds on a daily basis.
· Pushing and pulling of objects from 5 to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
· Lifting of objects more than 10 pounds on a daily basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
