Job Summary:
The General Manager will oversee all pre-opening and operational aspects of the Holiday Inn Express Savannah Gateway South, ensuring the hotel opens successfully and operates efficiently. This role requires a hands-on leader who can build a cohesive team, achieve financial and operational goals, and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Opening Management:
- Coordinate with construction and corporate teams to ensure the successful opening of the property.
- Recruit, hire, and train the hotel's opening team.
Operational Leadership:
- Manage day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring adherence to brand standards and corporate policies.
- Execute strategies to achieve financial goals, guest satisfaction metrics, and operational excellence.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and team development to foster a positive workplace culture.
Guest & Brand Focus:
- Deliver exceptional guest service experiences, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards and audit requirements.
Financial Management:
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Control costs and maximize revenue opportunities.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the hotel’s ambassador, building strong relationships with the local community and business partners.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager in a branded hotel, preferably with IHG.
- Pre-opening experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest service.
