DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked breakfast and kitchen area.
- Prepare the appropriate amount of food based on hotel numbers and set up breakfast in a timely manner.
- Ensure all tables, countertops, floors, machines, and other equipment are kept clean and functional.
- Keep track of inventory and acquire knowledge on the appropriate amounts of inventory to use and/or order.
- Set up breakfast by company standards in compliance with federal, local, county, and city health departments.
- Provide service to guests in a professional, courteous manner by making sure all food is continually replenished and the presentation of breakfast remains appealing.
- Ability to interact and be attentive to guests and keep a friendly, positive attitude.
- Understand and apply all hotel safety and security policies and procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.
- Proactively attend to guest needs and look for opportunities to improve operations to be as efficient as possible.
- Update reports such as the waste log with perishable items that must be disposed of each day.
- Observe and react quickly in high pressure situations, while maintaining self-control in difficulty.
- Attain a strong work ethic, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as with others.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to speak, read, and write English; other languages beneficial
- Basic mathematical skills
- Standing for extended periods of time/continuous movement
- Physically able to lift, push, and pull items occasionally up to 40 lbs during shift
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
