About the position
The Sales Manager at (GPM Hospitality) Holiday Inn Express and Suites Orlando International Drive is responsible for directing and overseeing all sales activities for the hotel, ensuring that group bookings and sales efforts maximize revenue per room occupied. This role requires effective communication of strategies to stakeholders, proactive resource management, and the ability to motivate and lead a sales team to achieve budgeted goals. The position emphasizes relationship building, social poise, and a competitive drive to succeed in the limited-service hotel environment.
Salary & Benefits: $50,000 annually Quarterly Commissions (Based on Sales Targets)

Responsibilities
• Uncover, prospect and sell group and individual business according to the Marketing Plan.
• Monitor sales activities and motivate the sales team to meet quotas.
• Ensure sales activities and group bookings are coordinated with transient demand to maximize revenue.
• Lead and monitor the team's efforts to negotiate and confirm sales.
• Implement and support all Holiday Inn Express sales and marketing standards.
• Recruit, select, train, and guide sales department personnel.
• Direct sales activities to achieve budgeted goals.
• Negotiate to achieve maximum revenue while satisfying client needs.
• Assist in developing the annual marketing plan and establishing sales goals.
• Control availability and rates on guest rooms and function space.
• Support Sales Coordinator in problem-solving with other departments.
• Identify and control work relationships and performance of assigned personnel.
• Foster a cooperative working climate to maximize employee morale and productivity.
• Oversee daily operations of Sales Coordinators, and Catering Sales Managers.
• Forecast Group segment and Catering contributions weekly.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales management role as a Director of Sales.
• Experience in a destination market is preferred.
• Proven track record of exceptional experience in sales.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong computer and math skills required.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Knowledge of Group segments, Catering Sales, and Conference Services.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for sales.
