The Holiday Inn Express & Suites King George, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Assistant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services. This role requires a proactive approach to managing hotel staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining operational efficiency. The Hotel Assistant General Manager will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for guests while optimizing the hotel's performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring all departments function smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage daily front desk operations, including check-in/check-out processes, night audit procedures, billing, group blocks and managing rates and inventory.
- Manage hotel staff, providing training and support to enhance performance and customer service.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve guest experiences and maintain all brand standard requirements.
- Monitor budgeting processes, ensuring adherence to financial goals while maximizing profitability.
- Address all guest inquiries and concerns promptly, respond to all guests surveys fostering positive relationships with guests.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless service delivery across the hotel, with a strong focus on the Front Desk department.
- Maintain effective communication with staff through regular meetings, employee trainings, development and employee evaluations.
- Screen new candidates, schedule interviews and perform hiring procedures.
- Cover shifts when needed and take on a hands-on approach at the Front Desk.
- Oversee breakfast operations to ensure all food and cleanliness standards are being met.
- Perform regular inventory and ordering.
Skills
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising hotel staff.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with front desk operations and night audit processes.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles related to hotel management.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in utilizing hotel management software systems is preferred.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within the hospitality industry.
Individual must have an open availability to work weekday, weekend and holidays. AM, PM and Overnight shifts.
