A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms hallways and public areas in the hotel servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures stocking cart with room supplies and replacing bed linens and replenishing guest room supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures. In some instances this role would also be responsible for conducting ‘deep cleaning’ activities within the guest room in conjunction with preventative maintenance tasks.

Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
- Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as needed.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain cleanliness.
- Vacuum carpets and clean floors using appropriate floor care techniques.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the housekeeping supervisor.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning products in guest rooms.
- Follow established procedures for cleaning and safety protocols.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness in common areas such as hallways, lobbies, and stairwells.
Skills
- Strong background in hospitality with an understanding of guest service principles.
- Experience in housekeeping management or industrial cleaning preferred.
- Knowledge of custodial practices and hotel cleaning standards.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning of all areas.
- Good communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
