What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Rooms Inspector/Supervisor position at Holiday Inn Express Syracuse Fairgrounds?
Holiday Inn Express Syracuse-Fairgrounds is looking to add a Rooms Inspector/Supervisor to our team.The Rooms Inspector is responsible for helping to inspect Guest Rooms and ensuring they are cleaned up to standards assist Room Attendants as needed provide necessary training. Responsible for assuming all Housekeeping Supervisor functions in his/her absence, including Laundry & Houseman Departments.Weekend availability is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
*Inspect staff's work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to assure that standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained.
*Assist with supervision of all staff in Laundry and Housekeeping holding them accountable and responsible for their work performance.
*Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
*Being able to stand for long periods of time
*The ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed and accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
*Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, co-workers, and management to their understanding
*Ability to exert physical effort consistent with cleaning an industry standard number of rooms per shift.
*Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop: push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 75 pounds
*Knowledge of proper chemical handling
*Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
*Handle items for "Lost and Found" according to the standards.
*Honesty and integrity
*Perform other duties as requested.
