What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Holiday Inn Express - University Area?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Check-in and check-out guests, ensuring accuracy of information and providing necessary assistance
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries promptly and courteously
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist with reservations, cancellations, and modifications as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Experience:
- Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles preferred
- Bilingual skills (English and another language) are a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles and practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with guests
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in phone etiquette and handling multiple phone lines
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with hotel management software systems is an advantage
- Willingness to work night shifts or perform night audit duties if required
