Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Breakfast Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our breakfast area is well-maintained and that guests have a pleasant dining experience. You will play a crucial part in the overall satisfaction of our guests by providing excellent food service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Responsibilities
- Set up and replenish the breakfast buffet with a variety of food items, ensuring freshness and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness in the breakfast area, including bussing tables and cleaning surfaces.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly.
- Assist guests with any inquiries regarding the breakfast offerings, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when needed.
- Utilize OpenTable or similar systems for managing guest reservations or special requests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of breakfast items.
- Assist in banquet setups as required, ensuring all dietary needs are met.
- Perform basic culinary tasks as needed, including using knives safely for food preparation.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is essential.
- Experience with bussing and maintaining dining areas is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- A background as a dietary aide or in banquet service can be advantageous.
