We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder hotel linens, towels, and staff uniforms.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains or damages before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by following proper sanitation protocols.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for delicate fabrics or specialty items.
- Ensure that all laundry equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere to safety guidelines while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or commercial laundry setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques for various fabrics including dry cleaning methods is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays.
