We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team on a part-time (20-25 hours) basis. This position will be based at the Holiday Inn in Fargo, ND and will report directly to our Director of HR at our corporate home office in Verona, WI. This position will work closely onsite with the property's General Manager as well as other members of the leadership team. The ideal candidate will have prior HR or office administration experience, a strong ability to work independently, and an understanding of maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
Some key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding for new and re-hired employees.
- Serve as an on-site point of contact for employee relations, providing guidance and support as needed.
- May participate as a witness or taking statement for employee relation concerns along with the GM and/or AGM, if applicable.

Process payroll accurately and efficiently on a regular basis.
- Handle work-related safety incidents and assist with reporting and follow-up, maintaining the OSHA 300 log.
- Support company benefit and policy communications to ensure employees are informed and up-to-date.
- Participate in and assist with employee-related events, including but not limited to job fairs and recruitment activities.

Serve on the property’s Safety Committee, ensuring a proactive approach to workplace safety.

Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the HR and the property's General Manager if needed as well as other duties as assigned.
Preferred qualifications or experience for this role:
- Prior experience in HR or office administration, preferably in a hospitality or service-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple tasks, and work independently.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with using HRIS software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work up to 25 hours per week with a schedule that can vary depending on the needs of the business.
- One to two early evenings or weekends, up to approximately 2 hours, may be required per month to participate in an employment fair or conduct new hire orientation.
- Ability to regularly work between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
- Comfortable with virtual, remote, training and communication with the Director of HR and other members of the S&L management team.
- Must possess the ability to inspire and motivate employees to work together as a team as well as fostering empowerment within the hotel.
Physical Requirements may include but are not limited to:
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures.
- Exposure to various noises including telephone, computers, kitchen equipment, televisions, printer/scanners/ and radios.
- Exposure to various cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
- Exposure to dust and other items that may be related the property.
