Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Restaurant Supervisor to assist the Hotel Manager in overseeing the daily service operations at Holiday Inn KCI’s casual dining restaurant, Burger Theory!
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage service aspects in food and beverage assigned areas and events.
- Ensure customers receive a great dining experience by acknowledging, greeting, and thanking all guests; resolve situations involving unhappy customers using de-escalation tactics.
- Confirm that all service staff are in proper uniform and adhere to appearance standards each shift.
- Oversee the management and training of restaurant staff; ensure all required training is completed for all new service staff within the required time frame.
- Create, maintain, and distribute weekly staff schedules; communicate changes as necessary.
- Perform “cost-out” reporting of all schedules, comparing "plan" to "actual".
- Conduct pre-shift, pre-meal, and/or pre-event meetings with all necessary staff members; ensure consistent communication within the department.
- Evaluate and supervise staff performance; carry out disciplinary action as needed per the Human Resources Department.
- Prepare and place weekly beverage product orders.
- Ensure restaurant is in compliance with franchise product and service standards; ensure restaurant complies with all local, county and state health codes.
- Ensure that all restaurant facilities and equipment are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume; notify maintenance department of any repair needs.
- Ensure the security and proper storage of food and beverage products, inventory and equipment, and replenish supplies in a timely and efficient manner.
- May serve as Kitchen Manager on duty as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1 year of experience in a Restaurant Supervisory role required.
- This position will work a majority of night shifts, with some morning shifts as needed. May require a split shift on Saturdays/Sundays as needed.
