Position Description: Maintenance/Commercial Cleaner
Major Function: Responsible for maintaining the hotel building and grounds including but not limited to the parking lot, guest rooms, hallways, lobby, storerooms, laundry room, and pool area.
Essential Functions:
1. Provide the highest quality of service to the customers at all times.
2. Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
3. Use guests’ names in all interactions.
4. Promptly respond to all guest-related concerns including but not limited to complaints and special requests.
5. Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures.
6. Know how to clean guestrooms to standards.
7. Know how to perform basic routine maintenance as well as how to properly operate all mechanical units within the guestroom.
8. Know how to operate all laundry equipment.
9. Must wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with Safari Hospitality and brand standards.
10. Personal cleanliness and neat appearance are required. Shoes must be low heeled and have heels and toes closed.
11. Practice safety standards at all times.
12. Be able to move miscellaneous items weighing up to 75 lbs. Please inform property management if you are unable to meet this requirement so they can determine if a reasonable accommodation can be made.
13. Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
14. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may from time to time be established by Safari Hospitality, is essential to the successful performance of the position.
15. Assist in unloading delivery trucks.
16. Perform repairs as needed such as plunging toilets, tuning televisions or changing light bulbs.
17. Responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of cleanliness of the swimming pool.
18. Pick up outside trash, clean parking lot and planter areas.
19. Responsible for the overall cleanliness and upkeep of all public areas.
20. Sweep and hose sidewalks and upper decks as needed.
21. Clean and check air conditioner filters.
22. Check and clean pool, pool area and pool furniture.
23. Check and change bags in vacuum cleaners weekly. Make minor repairs as directed by the manager.
24. Add chemicals to treat water and sewage systems.
25. Report any unusual persons or activities to a supervisor immediately.
26. Maintain the storage closets in a clean, organized manner.
27. Turn in master keys at the end of shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $13.50 per hour
