Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and common areas, as well as managing laundry services to ensure that all linens and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. Your commitment to providing exceptional service will contribute significantly to our guests' overall experience.
Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Launder linens, towels, and staff uniforms using appropriate washing and drying techniques.
- Handle dry cleaning items with care, ensuring proper processing and storage.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained in good working condition.
- Assist in organizing storage areas for linens and cleaning supplies efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or laundry role, preferably in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques, including the ability to operate washing machines and dryers effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor towards guests and team members.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
