Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Front Desk / Night Auditor. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for guests during the overnight hours, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the accuracy of hotel accounting processes. This position requires a candidate who can manage various tasks efficiently while maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in/check out guests with efficiency and friendliness.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform nightly audit processes, including balancing revenue and expense transactions.
- Ensure accuracy of guest folios and perform adjustments as needed.
- Stock and organize sundry items, coffee stations, and guest amenities.
- Prepare key jackets and arrival lists for the next day.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and common areas.
- Verify room inventory, ensure room assignments are accurate, and report any discrepancies.
- Monitor hotel security during overnight hours, ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
- Run end-of-day reports and send financial data to the accounting team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
- Basic math skills and experience with cash handling and credit card transactions.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. if necessary.
