What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Shift leader position at Holiday inn & suites?
We are currently looking for experienced Shift Leaders to join our team here at Cheerleader Pub and Grill located at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Jeff City Missouri. The purpose of this position is to ensure a smooth breakfast or dinner service and help keep our kitchen clean and organized.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of staff members during assigned shifts
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures
- Train new employees on job duties, customer service standards, and safety protocols
- Ensure proper food production and quality control measures are followed
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve any issues that arise
- Perform opening and closing duties as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus to provide recommendations to customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change accurately
- Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus, preferably in a food service setting
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
