What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server-/Banquet Set-up position at Holiday Inn?
The Holiday Inn is a fantastic family recreation and conference center, with seven meeting facilities. We host several meetings and family events throughout the year, and we are in need of ambitious team players to assist with set up and tear down of banquets throughout the facility.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Sets up tables, chairs, risers, dance floor, audio visual equipment and other equipment as required by scheduled function, including but not limited to; meetings, conferences, wedding receptions and social functions.
- Ensure sound and lighting systems are in proper working condition and report any repairs or replacement needs to the Banquet Supervisor.
- Take down any tables, chairs, risers or other equipment upon completion of event.
- Make sure all equipment is stored in proper manner in designated location.
- Functions in a team capacity, assisting other staff members, and hotel guests when needed.
- Do your part to ensure all event space and surrounding areas are clean and maintained.
- Serving food, bussing tables
- Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Basic math and English written and verbal communication skill required.
- No banquet experience required; will provide on the job training.
- This position requires full mobility, continuous movement and lifting, (moving furniture, equipment, staging, etc.)
