What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server position at Holiday Inn?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for working to set up events in adherence of the BEO
- Set up and restock
- Maintains good customer service
- Anticipates the guest’s needs
- Performs opening and closing duties
- Bus and resets tables according to BEO instruction or direction from Banquet Manager or Captain
- Ability to work on your own
- Work long shifts
- Work late shifts
- Work weekends
- Complete side work as assigned
- Ensures that assigned work station is set up in an orderly and timely fashion
- Attend required meetings
- Complies with all policies and procedures set forth by the Capitol City Grill Employee Handbook
- Knowledge of all procedures in sanitation and sanitary food handling
- Adheres to state liquor rules and regulations for catering events
- Actively participates in providing a drama-free, positive, award winning service environment
- Performs all other duties as assigned including setting up the room prior to banquet/meeting being held
- Must be able to lift, push, pull at least 50 lbs.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1 year prior experience in banquet and catering service preferred
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Food Handler’s Card and Liquor Permit.
- Ability to work with a minimal supervision
- Ability to stand and/or walk for entire shift
- Ability to carry and balance plates, trays, etc.
- Knowledge of complete table setting
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to read and follow both verbal and written instructions
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
