Position Summary :

A Breakfast Attendant assures the highest possible level of guest satisfaction by preparing and serving breakfast for the guests of the hotel. Strives to be a customer champion by giving excellent service, being attentive to guest needs and maintaining brand standards.

Duties and Responsibilities :

âˆ' Able to work a flexible schedule and adhere to start times.

âˆ' Wear proper attire and a nametag while on shift. Keep personal appearance professional.

âˆ' Complete all required company and brand-specific training and / or certifications in a timely manner.

âˆ' Ability to courteously engage with, attentively listen to and respect diverse groups of guests in a professional manner.

âˆ' Stay updated on events, including groups and meeting room usage, to effectively handle all foreseen situations.

âˆ' Promote positive guest relations by greeting guests in a pleasant and courteous manner; provides guests with information regarding local attractions and venues.

âˆ' Prepare and display breakfast items according to brand standards in a timely manner.

âˆ' Restock and replenish food items as needed during breakfast hours.

âˆ' Provide a clean, sanitary and inviting breakfast area for the guest. Bus and clean tables as needed using proper sanitization methods. Sweep floors as needed.

âˆ' Ensure proper food handling techniques and procedures are always practiced. Maintain a Food Handlers Certificate.

âˆ' Check food item quantities on a daily basis and communicate shortages without delay.

âˆ' Take biweekly inventory of all breakfast items and compare with hotel forecast to ensure proper stock. Assist management in ordering breakfast supplies.

âˆ' Receive and responds to guest comments and suggestions and pass these to the property management.

âˆ' Properly clean the breakfast area after closing.

âˆ' Follow the kitchen training standards for all kitchen duties and adhere to the cleaning checklists.

âˆ' Follow established health and safety procedures for using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

âˆ' Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment by following safety and security protocols and complying with hotel policies and procedures.

âˆ' Know and be able to follow the emergency procedures for the Hotel. Report accidents pertaining to guests or personal injury immediately to a supervisor.

âˆ' Adhere to the master key sign-out protocols and ensure the security of the assigned master key.

âˆ' Identify items that guests have left behind and report items utilizing the hotel's lost and found procedures.

âˆ' Follow supervisor directions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands :

âˆ' Be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, with efficiency and under time constraints.

âˆ' Requires physical mobility and stamina, be able to work in a standing position for your shift.

âˆ' Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 20 lbs.

âˆ' Be able to bend, reach, kneel, pivot and grip items while working at assigned tasks.

âˆ' Be able to operate equipment as needed and required by position.

âˆ' Able to adjust to changing priorities and simultaneously complete multiple assignments despite interruptions.

Skills, Educational Background, Experience and Basic Expectations :

âˆ' High School Diploma or GED preferred.

âˆ' Customer service skills and communication.

âˆ' Able to organize, plan ahead and manage workload.

âˆ' Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

âˆ' Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
