Job Overview: The Holiday Inn Mesa is seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Handle the check-in and check-out process efficiently and accurately.
- Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and reservations both in person and over the phone.
Reservations and Payments:
- Manage room reservations and cancellations in the hotel’s reservation system (OPERA PMS).
- Process guest payments, handle cash, credit card transactions, and provide receipts.
- Ensure accurate billing and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with guests to provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Coordinate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) to fulfill guest requests and resolve any issues.
- Relay important information to incoming shifts and maintain clear, concise log entries.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain a neat and organized front desk and lobby area.
- Handle guest complaints and issues promptly, escalating to management when necessary.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Monitor access to the hotel and report any suspicious activity.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures for guest confidentiality and privacy.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using computer systems and handling cash transactions.
- Personal Attributes: Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to remain calm and courteous in stressful situations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Availability: This is a full-time position (32-40 hours per week) requiring flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed. This position will cover both morning and evening shifts.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift luggage, and perform tasks requiring repetitive motion.
