Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and have the ability to perform various tasks that contribute to the upkeep of residential and commercial properties.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance.
- Execute residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic appeal and protect surfaces.
- Utilize logic controllers for troubleshooting and maintaining automated systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant requests and concerns promptly.
- Lead small teams on specific projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
- Operate tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and repairs.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary for repairs or improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is required.
- Strong skills in residential painting, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC systems are preferred.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in maintenance tasks is a plus.
- Leadership capabilities to guide team members effectively during projects.
- Proficiency in using tools such as an ohmmeter for diagnostics is advantageous.
- Ability to weld or perform metal fabrication tasks is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Strong communication skills to provide exceptional customer service and collaborate with team members effectively.
