Sales and Catering Manager Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to drive catering sales, increasing revenue for The Imperial Event Center and Hotel. This includes proactively prospecting and securing catering contracts across various market segments, collaborating with sales teams, and ensuring exceptional client experiences to foster repeat business.
Sales and Catering Manager Qualifications:

Sales and Catering Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sales & Prospecting: Proactively sell catering services through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and digital outreach to drive revenue growth.
- Market Segments: Target and close catering contracts in Corporate, Fraternal, Prom, Holiday, Educational, Sports, Not-for-Profit, and New Business Development segments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and catering teams to share leads, referrals, and business opportunities across various segments.
- Client Engagement: Craft detailed proposals to enhance client experiences and upsell additional services.
- Event Coordination: Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and group resumes for all assigned bookings, ensuring clear communication and smooth event execution.
- Revenue Growth: Upsell catering services, including guest room bookings (15 or fewer rooms), to maximize event profitability.
- Client Retention: Foster long-term relationships with clients to retain repeat business and solicit feedback for improvement.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor analysis to remain competitive in the market.
- Reporting: Provide accurate catering revenue forecasts and deliver required reports in a timely manner.
- Event Support: Oversee event logistics, ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and procedures for contracts, invoicing, and post-event follow-up.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies and safety standards, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Sales and Catering Manager Language & Communication Skills:
- Must be able to listen, read, write, and speak clearly and effectively, ensuring open lines of communication with colleagues and guests.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential, with an emphasis on professional and courteous interaction.
Sales and Catering Manager Mathematical & Analytical Skills:
