Job description
Holiday Market-Royal Oak, an award winning family-owned grocery store, is looking for a versatile & experienced candidate who will be part of a team of 4 office professionals. This candidate will be in charge of the payroll process (using a payroll service) and other HR functions for our 300 employees, in addition to light bookkeeping. The ideal candidate has three or more years of related experience, strong use of computer and office suite programs, and knowledge of payroll processing programs (we use DM Payroll Solutions and NOVA time clock). As a family owned and run business, we are looking for someone that can easily multi-task and make each employee feel part of the family.

Responsibilities
Responsible for onboarding of all new employees
- complete required paperwork with all of employee’s departures
- Investigate, evaluate, and fully resolve employee conflicts to heighten employee retention and
satisfaction.
- Convey medical, dental, and vision benefit information to staff and complete enrollment procedures.
Coordinate and facilitate open enrollment
- Facilitate pre- payroll audit payroll processing for 300 employees for multiple locations
- Approve employees who qualify for FMLA, document number of days utilized, and assist employees with STD and LTD claims.
- Complete 401K processing in partnership with the holding financial institution.
· Assist with annual 401 audits and work directly with an auditors
- Receive, review, and process unemployment claims as well as handle disputes and participate in dispute
interviews as necessary.
- Record and track OSHA and workman comp claims. Report all job-related injuries to the State
· Responsible for completing all State and Federal Wage and Labor statistic reports
· Assist in filing 5500 forms for Health and retirement plans to appropriate agencies
· Keeping up to date on all Labor Laws and any upcoming changes to ensure compliance
