What are the responsibilities and job description for the PTA position at Holiday Resorts?
Qualifications:
Must have Associates degree in Physical Therapist Assistant
Must have state licensure/registration
Must be able to perform job according to physical specifications
Must be able to work independently and meet productivity guidelines
Essential Functions:
Adheres to the Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, and State Practice Act of the profession of Physical Therapy.
Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity to patients’ rights and ethical/legal issues in all interaction.
Utilizes effective and courteous working relationships with all co-workers, patients and family members.
Readily adapts to a changing environment. i.e.: staffing, assignments, documentation requirements.
Follows facility policies in the provision of care and services to the residents of Holiday Resort adhering to State and Federal regulations.
Demonstrates proper use of gait belt and utilizes proper back safety techniques and lifting/transfer techniques.
Follows Resident’s Rights and HIPAA regulations concerning resident information.
Promotes and maintains a professional image and conforms to dress code.
Attends work in accordance with attendance policy demonstrating dependability and reliability.
Attend all required training sessions and in-services.
Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action and reports to supervisor.
Work under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
Initiate and complete screens as appropriate.
Modify treatment procedure in accordance with changes in patient status.
Notify Physical Therapist when modifications to a plan of care are necessary for an effective treatment program.
Notify Physical Therapist of changes in patient’s/client’s medical status.
Respond to inquiries regarding patient status to appropriate parties within the protocol established by Physical Therapist.
Notify Physical Therapist to interpret data beyond the assistants scope of practice.
Analyze ideas and use logic to determine a patient’s/client’s strengths and weaknesses.
Submits documentation and billing in a timely, legal and ethical manner in accordance with current policy/procedures.
Identify problems and review information provided by the multidisciplinary staff.
Must meet productivity requirements.
