Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, answering questions and making recommendations as needed.
- Ring up sales on cash register accurately and efficiently, handling money, checks, and other forms of payment.
- Maintain store facilities and equipment, including cleaning and performing general housekeeping duties.
- Control sales and inventory, monitoring stock levels and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, including taking inventory and attending job-related meetings.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in retail sales preferred.
- Ability to accurately operate a variety of equipment, including cash registers and scanners.
- Ability to work as scheduled, arriving on time and following dress code.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and management.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to bend, twist, and reach overhead.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Work Environment:
- Work indoors approximately 95% of the time.
- Exposure to cold temperatures while working in walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Occasional exposure to noise.
