Job Title: Assistant Caretaker Summer Bungalow Community

Job Description: As assistant Caretaker at our summer bungalow colony, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance and operation of our facilities leading up to, throughout, and post summer season (March-November) . This position requires a hands-on individual who can undertake duties associated with the maintenance of this cooperative summer community - comprised of about 50 shareholder owned bungalows and additional structures including but not limited to social hall, swimming pool, lake, sports facilities, lawns, water supply wells, septic tanks, laundry rooms, and maintenance shop. This position is from March through November.

Responsibilities:

Opening/Closing Grounds for Summer Use

Access water supply for each unit to turn on water supply at start of season and turn off said water supply at end of season (this task will require being able to physically access piping underneath each unit).

Opening of the pool at the start of the season, including preparing the pool, filling the pool, as well as closing the pool at the end of the season.

Facilities Maintenance:

Assist Caretaker in maintaining bungalows and other coop buildings including social hall and laundry rooms,

Clearing bungalow gutters and power washing of bungalow siding and walkways,

Assist daily maintenance of the pool area and pool cleaning

Groundskeeping:

Mowing lawns and trimming bushes,

Cleaning sports and playground facilities.

Owners’ Needs:

Set-up and clean-up of facilities in support of weekend events.

Qualifications:

Experience in property maintenance.

Basic plumbing skills a necessity.

Good work ethic and reliability.
