Holiday World & Splashin' Safari's parent company, Koch Development Corporation, is entering the hospitality industry and is seeking a leader to help lead its new lodging program. The Hospitality Manager is a full-time position that is responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the Resort Lodging and its team to provide exceptional hospitality to its Guests. This position is responsible for leading the Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Laundry Teams at the Resort Lodging and is a primary point of contact for all Team Members, Guests, vendors, and contractors. In addition to creating a world-class Guest experience with clean, safe, and properly maintained rooms, the Hospitality Manager is responsible for supporting the Team Member experience and creating an engaging culture to ensure employee satisfaction and a high-performing workforce.
Requirements
Safety and Environmental Performance:
- Lead the safety effort by personal example
- Develop and adhere to SOPs and other work procedures as required to assist employees and assure Guest satisfaction
- Use and maintain Koch Development Corporation’s equipment and property in the appropriate manner
- Always follow instructions of posted safety signs and warnings to ensure your personal well-being
- Immediately report all injuries to your direct supervisor, management on duty, or the Full-Time Safety Team

Work Requirements:
- Manage the day-to-day operation, scheduling, and performance of the Resort Lodging.
- Responsible for supporting the overall resort performance, including P&L, of various operating departments including, Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Laundry
- Hire, train, lead, and manage Seasonal staff
- Develop, coach, and mentor staff, including performance reviews and corrective action, partnering with Human Resources for support as needed.
- Adhere to financial plans and budgets, effectively and efficiently using resources such as labor to minimize expenses and maximize profits.
- Stay up to date with trends in the hospitality industry about new revenue opportunities, Guest expectations, and other operating best practices.
- Ensure schedules are posted, timecards are reviewed and approved, and payroll issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Develop and lead Guest service training to ensure high levels of Guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that Guests are greeted with hospitality and friendliness as they enter the Resort Lodging
- Respond to Guest inquiries and resolve Guest complaints
- Ensure Resort Lodging and room cleanliness, safety, and security with regular inspections and auditing
- Partner with other Koch Development Corporation departments for support, such as IT, Maintenance, Communications, Retail, Human Resources, Finance and others as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agencies that regulate housing laws and resort lodging operations
- Flexibility to work overnight, weekends, and short notice shifts as needed based on business and coverage needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Business Administration or related field, is preferred
- 2 -4 years successful theme park, hotel, or hospitality management experience preferred
- Prior experience in the theme park, hospitality, or high-volume tourist-based entertainment venue is preferred
- Knowledge of hospitality industry regulations as well as applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, conflict resolution, crisis management, contract management, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Enthusiastic personality when interacting with Guests and/or Employees
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of employees and management
- Willingness to travel overnight to attend and participate in seminars, meetings, and conferences out of town
- Ability to work full-time
- Acceptable pre-employment drug screen and background check
