Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals in patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic life support and emergency medical procedures as needed.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication instructions.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine practices and protocols.
- Familiarity with basic life support techniques.
- Experience working in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is preferred.
- Strong skills in medical administrative support, including proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in internal medicine, urgent care, or medical-surgical settings is an advantage.
