Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients with mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications following established protocols and guidelines.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients using evidence-based practices.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate in Nursing with specialization as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or
- Master's of Physician Assistant with specialization as a Psychiatric PA
- Board Cerfitied Psychiatrist
- Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or PA-C with specialization in psychiatric-mental health.
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Physician Assistant or Psychiatrist from an accredited program.
- Experience in systems-based practice, medical-surgical settings, emergency medicine, and geriatrics is preferred.
- Proficiency in vital signs assessment and basic life support.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities and familiarity with workers' compensation law is advantageous.
- Knowledge and/or interest in functional medicine and ketamine therapy and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) preferred.
