KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate approved orders to vendors, solicit information of receipt, and verify delivery dates are within company and industry standards
- Prepare invoices to send to vendors and maintain payment and delivery dates
- Review and analyze invoices before submitting them to the accounts payable department; ensure timely processing of payments with suppliers to meet delivery timelines
- Assess inventory needs to determine cost-effective shipping practices and provide instructions for deliveries
- Liaise with sales team and vendors to ensure proper release and reorder of product
- Resolve delivery delays, incorrect shipments, and quality concerns with suppliers and Purchasing Manager
- Maintain accurate information in various company systems
- Special projects as required within purchasing team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong computer/math skills and data entry knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
- 3-5 years’ experience in an office setting
- A passion for interior design and textiles is a plus
