Established in 2002 and headquartered in Paris (FR), it is Holland Bike’s mission to introduce the Dutch daily cycling tradition as an alternative and effective means of transportation in and around cities. Today, Holland Bikes is the number 1 provider of bike tours and rentals in France, with over 20 retail and rental points.

In spring 2024 Holland Bikes opened their first location in the United States. Located in Brooklyn NY, this brand new location provides bike rentals and guided tours in multiple languages. In February 2025, Holland Bikes is opening their second location, located near Central Park.

Tasks

As the Front Desk and Store Representative at Holland Bikes, you take care of a variety of tasks that are crucial to a seamless operation and amazing customer experience. In a nutshell, your day-to-day tasks include :

Welcoming and checking in customers
Handing out bikes and necessary equipment for tours and bike rentals
Answering phone calls and emails
Supporting tour guides in a timely departure of their tours
Making sure the shop always looks clean and well organized

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills :

Amazing hospitality – a warm, approachable manner, great listening skills and always willing to facilitate whenever possible

Excellent social skills – you communicate easily with people from different countries and different cultures

Learn and adapt quickly – in our first branch in the US, we face new challenges every day. We’re all learning and adapting quickly on the job, and we need you to do the same

Take pride in your work – our guests trust us with their valuable time while on vacation. When we are successful in our jobs, the tours are unforgettable experiences for our guests

The ability to work independently – you will be responsible for opening and closing the shop in the weekends

Speaking multiple languages is a HUGE plus (in particular : Dutch, German and French)

Hourly base pay of 16-20 USD

Location : 446 W 54th Street, New York, NY 10019 (on-site)

Hours : Part-time or full-time opportunities ( weekends)
