What are the responsibilities and job description for the Streets Department Summer Help position at Holland, City of (MI)?
Duties vary from the following:
- Drain Crew - Cleaning and videoing storm drain lines.
- Sign and Paint Dept. - Replacing/repairing road signs and assisting in the application/painting of roadway pavement markings.
- Building/Yard Maintenance at Transportation Services - Mowing, yard work, cleaning, and painting.
- Mowing/Weed whipping along roadway.
Note: Some work is done independently with minimal supervision.
- Must 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
- Dependable and self-motivated.
- Ability to periodically kneel/bend/stoop to accommodate different working positions.
- Attention to detail.
- Work includes outside working conditions with frequent exposure to sun, wind, rain, and extreme temperatures.
- Work includes periodic exposure to fumes, dust, noise, moving objects, chemicals.
