What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Supervisor - Park Maintenance position at Holland, City of (MI)?
2. Pruning & Landscaping: Trim shrubs, hedges, and perennials to maintain healthy and visually appealing landscapes.
3. Weed Control: Remove weeds from flower beds, landscaped areas, and public spaces.
4. Seasonal Clean-Up: Assist with tasks such as leaf removal, clearing debris, and preparing park areas for seasonal changes.
5. Facility Support: Help with the maintenance and minor repairs of park structures, shelters, and public amenities.
6. Litter & Trash Removal: Empty trash cans and pick up litter in parks and public spaces to keep areas clean.
7. Graffiti Removal: Assist in the removal of graffiti from park structures and recreational facilities.
8. Event Support: Help set up, maintain, and clean up after city and park events.
9. Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks related to park maintenance and public space upkeep as directed by supervisors.
2. Experience in Cleaning and Bathroom Maintenance: Previous experience with cleaning and sanitizing public bathrooms, toilets, sinks, sweeping and mopping floors is preferred but not required
3. Self Motivated: Reliable and Responsible, must be hardworking and able to work independently
4. Ability to stay on task in an environment with distractions
5. Ability to Use Landscaping Tools: Familiarity with basic hand tools, trimmers, and other maintenance equipment is a plus.
6. Physical Stamina and Strength: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
7. Attention to Detail: Ability to complete maintenance tasks thoroughly and efficiently.
8. Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work well with others and follow instructions from supervisors.
9. Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing work conditions, seasonal needs, and assigned tasks.
10. Reliable and Punctual: Must adhere to work schedules and complete tasks in a timely manner.
