Holland Hall was established in 1922 and currently serves approximately 1,000 preK through 12th grade students in a coeducational setting. POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees the activities of an athletic team
JOB DUTIES
-
Plans and directs training of student athletes
-
Assesses individuals' abilities and skill level to determine appropriate team position.

Assists players in reaching highest athletic potential possible through athletic training and leadership skills

Provides skill demonstrations of sport coached.

Must be familiar with OSSAA and National Federation rules and regulations.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

May require a bachelor's degree in physical education and 4-6 years of coaching experience.
PREVIOUS RELATED EXPERIENCE

2-4 years playing and coaching experience
EXPECTATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE
-
A familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures is essential.

Should be willing to participate outside of practice for student support and enrichment.
-
Some travel may be required.
-
Must be able to coach in a style, which is organized, interactive, and student centered.

Must attend all games and practices.
-
Regular attendance is required for successful completion of job duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS
-
Regularly sit, turn, bend, reach, walk, talk, hear and to visually intercept visitors.
-
Be able to occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.

Regularly uses close and distance vision.
-
Work can be indoors in a temperature controlled, sealed office, studio, gymnasium or outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
