Part-Time Cook 16-24 hours per week Every Other Weekend and Weekdays Our beautiful Breton Woods Campus is looking to add a Cook to our amazing dining services team. The Cook prepares and cooks food for residents using standardized recipes; and assures that all prepared food items meet standards for temperature, quality, consistency, freshness, taste, and appearance. Wages: $16.40 - $18.58 (Wages increase from $16.40 with relevant work experience) Yearly wage increases Responsibilities: Prepares and cooks food for residents and staff using standardized recipes and complying with regulatory requirements Assures that all prepared food items meet standards for temperature, quality, consistency, freshness, taste, and appearance. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (chopping vegetables, butchering meat, crafting sauces) Clean up the station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Must have a valid Driver's License Requirements: Must have a valid Driver's License Six months to one year of cooking experience with similar large-scale food preparation High school diploma or equivalent Ability to stand for long periods and lift 60 pounds Pass a basic physical Pass a background check Schedule includes working every other weekend and an occasional holiday Benefits: Customizable benefits plan Biweekly Insurance Allowance Yearly Wage Increases PTO Accrual Opportunities for Growth 403b Retirement Plan with Employer Matching up to 8% Free Financial Advising Schedule and Hours: Every other weekend and 2-3 weekdays Varied start and end times available 6:00 am - 2:30 pm 11 am - 7:30 pm About Holland Home: Holland Home, located in Grand Rapids, is one of Michigan’s largest non-profit providers of senior living services.
