SCOPE OF POSITION

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all public areas within the hotel, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and other common areas. This role is crucial in maintaining a welcoming and pristine environment for all guests and visitors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Cleaning Duties:

   • Clean and maintain all public areas such as lobbies, pavilion, pool area, retail, hallways, restrooms, and staircases.

   • Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish surfaces as needed.

   • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.

   • Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked with necessary supplies, and well-maintained.

2. Maintenance:

   • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the housekeeping supervisor or maintenance team promptly.

   • Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition and report any repairs or replacements needed.

   • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and amenities.

3. Guest Services:

   • Greet guests and provide assistance as needed, ensuring a friendly and helpful demeanor.

   • Respond to guest requests or concerns promptly and professionally.

   • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness to enhance guest satisfaction.

4. Safety and Compliance:

   • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

   • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions.

   • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.

5. Team Collaboration:

   • Work closely with the housekeeping team and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

   • Assist with special projects or deep cleaning tasks as assigned.

   • Participate in training sessions and team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience. Previous work in the Hotel Industry preferred. 

• Skills:

Working Conditions:

• Hours: Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

• Capability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely.
