Primary Responsibilities and Tasks:
Responsible for overseeing accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing), database management, month-end close process and year-end audit. Assist with preparing monthly financial reports, such as cash flow and income statements and balance sheets. Implement and ensure organizational compliance with accounting best practices and GAAP. Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of financial data. Work on special projects and assist with M&A due diligence and integration. Assist in the compilation and review results of the semi-annual physical inventory count.
Required Core Competencies:
Must have a working knowledge of GAAP, accrual-based accounting, organizational auditing, and fixed asset accounting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary when interacting with management and internal customers to convey complex financial information in a clear, concise way. Technical acumen, creative thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills are also a must. Strong computer usage experience (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required. Must demonstrate an ability to work independently with minimal up-front guidance and as part of a team and be tenacious in meeting deadlines, while managing peak workloads.
Position Requirements:
Must hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business administration. Possess 3 to 5 years’ experience in audit/accounting, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting and trend analysis.
Advanced EXCEL skills needed.
