What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician - 2nd Shift position at Holley Performance?
Holley, a leader in automotive aftermarket products, has an immediate opening for a Quality Technician.
This position requires verification of purchased / manufactured components using approved engineering drawings and support the development of the Holley Quality System. Responsible for ensuring all areas of the operation have identified and effective quality check system in the work center to ensure produce produced meets part specifications and customer satisfaction.
Summary of Job Duties
- Support all Operations Manager and Team Leader requests for support for quality issues or concerns. You are to actively investigate and verify quality related issues on the production floor.
- Fully responsible for ensuring that all NCM is placed in MRB hold area and follow all MRB tracking and disposition requirements per quality guidelines.
- Write corrective actions and lead the problem-solving teams for all internal NCM.
- Work directly with Engineering in support to resolve product issues negatively impacting the operation and that could result in an NCM or customer complaint.
- Provide support to improve the Quality System through audits and other Quality improvement activities.
- Professionally interact with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and vendors.
- Inspect and determine disposition of incoming and production parts.
- Write CMM programs and analyze measurement data to communicate necessary changes to vendors and Engineers.
Job Skills and Knowledge
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Must be team orientated and work independently with no supervision.
- Must be able to use basic and complex gages. Mic’s, calipers, go/no-go gages, etc.
- Set Up experience preferable.
Work Experience
- A background in Quality Control relating to the automotive industry is preferred.
Summary of Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required, and two-year associate degree or college courses are preferred.
- CMM Programming and operation experience required, experience with PC-DMIS Software is a must.
- ASQ certification as a Certified Mechanical Inspector or Certified Quality Technician is preferred.
