What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lube Technician position at Holliday Rock?
Holliday Rock is seeking experienced Lube tech to join our fleet maintenance team. The Lube Tech lubricates heavy duty truck systems and performs oil changes, filter changes and some minor repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform oil changes, including changing filters and checking fluid levels.
- Inspect and refill fluids such as engine oil, and coolant.
- Conduct visual inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Assist with other automotive services and repairs as needed.
- Previous experience as a Lube Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and other automotive tools safely and effectively.
- Available to work overtime as needed and be available to work swing shift.
- At least 2 years of prior experience as a technician working on heavy duty trucks and equipment.
- Knowledge in air brakes and tires.
- Training in hydraulics and electrical training and drive train knowledge.
- Suspension, steering and wheel-end components training.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 60 pounds).
- Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, etc.).
