Job Description Job Description Description : The Quality Control Technician will work under the direction of the Lab Manager performing sampling, testing, monitoring and reporting on the quality of aggregates as well as concrete products in the field and in the lab. Supervises quality assurance analysis to ensure consistent and reliable operation in a laboratory setting and in the field.Essential Functions of the Position :
- Assists operations in managing and adjusting materials at plants and in the field.
- Responsible for ready-mix, asphalt and aggregate sampling at plants and job sites.
- Reviews and interprets test results to ensure accuracy, precision, and repeatability.
- Performs calculations and determinations to validate results or specifications.
- Validates and verifies methods and identifies issues that may affect the accuracy and integrity of test results.
- Responsible for field and laboratory testing in accordance with ACI standards.
- Traveling to different locationsSkills and Knowledge :
- Effectively communicate with appropriate personnel at job sites, batch plants and testing laboratory
- Assist operations in managing and adjusting materials at plants and in the field
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
- Ability to lead discussions, make presentations and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skillsRequirements :
- High school diploma / GED
- Previous industry or related experience
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work with or without supervision.
- Must have a valid class C driver’s license.
- Ability to physically perform the essential job functions for the position including lifting heavy loads, use of hand tools, standing for long periods

The noise level is approximately 30-90 decibels.
