What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Engineer (EIT or PE) position at Hollingsworth Pack?
Hollingsworth Pack has an immediate opening for a qualified structural engineer (EIT or PE) to work in our Austin, Texas office under the mentorship of our 10-person team. A minimum commitment of 30-hours per week is required, with the option to transition to a hybrid remote schedule after approximately 1-year.
We are looking for a multifaceted professional engineer that enjoys a professional variety, and is not afraid to attempt something new, willing to develop themselves in multiple areas, and who takes pride in a balanced life that is enriched with international contacts and work.
Qualifications
EIT certification
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD and Tekla design software preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design to create construction documents, primarily for commercial buildings constructed of concrete, steel, masonry and wood.
Perform construction site visits for quality control and contractor oversight.
Interface with our multi-disciplined engineering team.
Communicate effectively with clients on behalf of the company.
Interest in developing skills as a project manager of an interdisciplinary design team.
