SUMMARY STATEMENT/POSITION OVERVIEW:
The IT Technician will provide support services to the company’s user community and its customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES - IT Technician
Assist users with support inquiries.
Resolve support calls efficiently while demonstrating above-average customer service skills.
Escalate issues that require additional support.
Assist in the implementation of new business processes and change requests through user training, unit testing, and the creation of process documentation.
Use boom or scissor lifts to access Independent Distribution Facilities or run network cables.
Install and maintain PCs, printers, and other computer equipment and electronics.
Perform software and system upgrades.
Conduct daily administration duties.
Oversee the daily responsibilities of computer operators.
Perform any other job requirements as directed by the Manager.
SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS - IT Technician
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10/11.
General knowledge of Linux.
Experience in the installation and support of network switches and access points.
Support for enterprise VMware, SQL, and Active Directory systems.
Manage backups for enterprise systems, MES servers, file and print servers, SQL database servers, email systems, PCs, virtual servers, and other critical data systems.
Develop and maintain network cabling. - Perform hardware installation, configuration, and support for all hardware and software throughout the facility.
Knowledge of MES system administration and setup.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Exhibit a high level of initiative and integrity.
As an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field is preferred.
Willingness to work outside regular hours if needed.
