At Hollis Rebreather LLC we build world class rebreather systems designed for underwater exploration.
Production & Service Specialist, is responsible for manufacturing and repair of critical, life-support diving equipment ensuring all products manufactured meet design specifications and achieve superior quality standards.
Lead the servicing of all returned products includes ensuring the department meets or exceeds current turnaround times. Using established guidelines, the technician will ensure customer satisfaction through thorough maintenance and testing of items for service and production. In addition, the technician will be able to assist in communications with customers as needed by the department.
Position is responsible for the cleanliness of the workplace to the highest levels of oxygen servicing and ESD requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble various electrical and mechanical assemblies with a high degree of accuracy.
- Perform testing of completed assemblies in accordance with documented procedures.
- Pull raw materials and finished goods from the warehouse as needed for manufacturing and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot failed assemblies and determine corrective actions required.
- Manage the day to day service and repair for customer rebreathers, document work performed and materials used.
- Communicate and document issues, provide feedback and ideas for continuous improvement.
- Learn and master all tasks associated with the rebreather manufacturing and quality control process.
- Fulfill queued orders promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in the production cycle as deemed necessary for the department.
- Inventory management within the room to complete tasks set by the department.
- Assemble work orders in ERP software to complete service and production.
- Assist in storing items returned from QC to designated locations.
- Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure the technician will give superior service to the customer.
- Aid in the creation of service documentation to facilitate a consistent level of standards as set by the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Open circuit regulator technician certification preferred
- Ability to read, understand, and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents, including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly procedures, wiring schematics and diagrams.
- Ability to operate a soldering iron, wire crimping and stripping machines, voltmeters, torque wrenches, and miscellaneous small hand tools.
- Previous experience assembling electrical and mechanical components in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organization and prioritization abilities, detail oriented.
- Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English.
