Summary:
The Global Process Owner (GPO) for Master Data Management (MDM) is responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of master data management processes within the SAP environment. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data across the organization, enabling efficient business operations and decision-making. The GPO will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices, standards, and policies for master data management.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Manage the global master data management strategy to align the Fit for Growth activities with the day-to-day business objectives of the master data team.
- Governance: Enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Process Optimization: Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance master data management processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, IT, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to data stewards and other key users on master data management best practices.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to master data quality and process efficiency.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve data-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT to ensure the effective integration of SAP master data management tools and technologies.
Essential functions of the role:
- Data Quality Management: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of master data across all systems and processes.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure data integrity and alignment with business needs.
- Documentation: Manage the documentation process for Desktop Instructions for master data stewards.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to data management.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on master data quality and process performance.
- Subject Matter expert (SME) as needed for projects relating to SAP master data.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in master data management, with a focus on SAP projects.
- SAP Expertise: Strong experience with SAP master data management, including data migration, integration, and validation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in SAP or data management are a plus
- Ability to lead a team to completion of all assigned work
- Ability to facilitate decision-making and resolution of cross-functional business processes
- Ability to drive process improvements
- Advanced analytical capabilities
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple demands and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel knowledge
- ERP system knowledge required; SAP and BPC knowledge preferred

- The anticipated base pay range for this position is $127,000 - $180,000 yearly. The actual salary varies based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, abilities, and other legitimate business factors.
- If applicable: This position is also eligible to participate in the Hollister Secure Start Bonus Plan. The Company also provides a unique Benefit of Employee Share Ownership Program (BESOP) program based on earnings and length of service.
