Duties
- Create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that foster growth in key areas such as language, motor skills, and social-emotional development.
- Facilitate a nurturing environment where children can explore and learn through structured activities, free play, and guided interactions.
- Observe and document each child's developmental progress, providing personalized support while maintaining group engagement.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, ensuring consistent communication about each child’s progress and needs.
- Create a classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, social interaction, and collaborative learning, while being mindful of individual needs.
- Support each child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development by providing targeted activities and hands-on learning experiences in a group setting.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience, share insights, and ensure consistent care for all children.
Skills
- Proven experience working with infants and toddlers in a group setting, with a strong understanding of early childhood development principles.
- Ability to recognize and respond to the individual needs of each child while maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom dynamic.
- Knowledge of developmental milestones and the ability to plan activities that support children’s growth in language, motor, and social-emotional skills.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with young children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience with observational assessment techniques to track and document each child’s progress.
- A deep passion for supporting young children’s learning and development in a nurturing, group-based environment.
- Previous experience in an early childhood setting is preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
