Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain loaders, dozers, excavators, skid steers, asphalt paving equipment, and chip sealing machinery according to safety standards and manufacturer instructions.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure operational efficiency.
• Safely load and transport materials to and from job sites.
• Assist with the setup and preparation of work sites, including clearing debris and leveling ground.
• Follow project plans and specifications to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating loaders, skid steers, asphalt paving equipment, and chip sealing machinery preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as required by project schedules.
• Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing job requirements.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training in equipment operation is a plus.
• Prior experience in construction or road maintenance projects is advantageous.

Pay: $20.00 - $38.00 per hour
